It’s a cool car but I rather stick with my 2020 Shelby GT500 and 2013 Shelby GT500 I already have for personal reasons. You have me Impressed AMG! May not be as cool as the 300 SL Gullwing but it’s up there in the top 5 for AMG just the only thing that really draws me away from the car is that she sounds terrible. Just wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy the beast without the butal angry sounding V8 that AMG V8s are known for.
Too heavy, too complicated, too expensive and will depreciate like a rock. Look, I respect Mercedes. They are top notch but they need to get back to the original SL ideal. Light weight and adequate power. Like in the original 300 SL. That is the sweet spot.
I was shocked when the base model went around the track faster than the Nissan GTR. I was assuming this to be a handsome, comfortable GT car. Damn. I was wrong.
