The person in charge of product development at GM just woke up from their nap. Orders for the '22 hybrid Maverick closed 11/15/21. Jury is out on how this vehicle does in the long run but right now it's looking like Ford has hit a home run.
Like many people we are here for the hybrid model and the last test ( towing & off roading ) are made with the 2 liter turbo , what is not very useful to know.
I'm 6' 1" and owned a 2017 Tacoma for 4 years. I always had to duck down to get in the truck and the back seat looks tighter than the Maverick. Could be a contender as a urban pick up

When reviewers say the maverick has a CVT I realize they don't know what they are talking about and stop the video, down vote, sometimes comment and move on.
I don’t think you gave a good honest review for the most part, you complained about everything with sad long face and a deadish monotone voice. If you were not into the job maybe you should’ve just stayed home.
Great detailed review. Put through its phases lt performed pretty good. I ordered a Lariat AWD with the 2.0 Ecoboost motor. It gets good enough mpg with a little power to boot. I've had F150's & Rangers & now being retired, the Maverick checks all the boxes for me. I'm not going to tow anything heavy, I can reach in the bed for my stuff & the interior looks good to me. And for fully loaded Lariat Maverick for $35K hey I'm in!!
Everyone definitely different hybrid only thing I'm looking for presently owned nice 150 half ton do not need big truck horrible horrible fuel mileage price on Maverick fuel mileage do the math

I can deal with the quirkiness of the hybrid for better gas milage.
If it was rwd I'd go for the awd. But, it's fwd so I'm good.
I have a brother in law that bought a new Chevy truck for $65k. Nice but not $40k more nice. I think I'll like the Maverick just as much.

The interior materials and overall look seems dated, cheap and unrefined. Ford can do better than this. SMH
Not sure why you'd choose a Ranger over this. It's an awkwardly placed truck now. Maverick or F-150 are really the only options that make sense.
Why did Ford give the Maverick the ugliest front end since the Pontiac Aztek? Both my wife and I said the Santa Cruz over this P.O.S.!
Horrible review, better watch Alex on Auto
On the Hybrid, I would sacrifice two or three MPG for more torque. I’m still very interested.
It is not a CVT, do some research before you review a vehicle!!!!
It's called brake regen, idiot!

its not a traditional cvt at all
